The problem

The National Disability Insurance Scheme Amendment (Securing the NDIS for Future Generations) Act 2026 passed on 19 August 2026 and received Royal Assent on 20 August. The NDIA's new compliance powers have been in force since 27 August, and more commences on 1 October, 20 November, 1 December and into 2027.
And if you were delivering supported independent living before 1 July 2026 without being registered, your registration application has to be lodged before 1 October 2026, so 30 September is the last day. Lodged, not approved.

- We review Mon–Fri 9:00–17:00 Melbourne time. If your 24 hours land outside that, we sign by the close of the next window instead, you'll see your exact signed-by time before you pay.
- If we miss it, 10% comes off your invoice.
